Getting your amateur radio license is easier than you think — no Morse code, no electronics degree. There are three license classes, each a step up in privileges:
- Technician — the entry-level license. Local repeater and simplex operating, and the starting point for public-service work.
- General — adds worldwide high-frequency (HF) privileges.
- Amateur Extra — the top class, with all amateur privileges.
